I bought Win 7 SP1 Pro (64 bit) because the laptop had Vista (32 bit) on it and Vista got damaged beyond repair and wasn't obviously worth reinstalling. I am extremely pleased with the ease of installation and how the laptop seems much faster and is running very smoothly.

Not that I needed 32bit OS but it would come in handy when working on some ones system, an had to reinstall that version. Over all easy to install on a new system, generally finds all needed drivers, and you don't need a previous version of windows. No Bitlocker but you can't have every thing.

I upgraded a Dell running Vista Pro 64 bit. Had to do a clean install and then reinstall all programs I wanted to keep.
