This timer is a P.I.T.A. and exactly like a different review it makes no sense and came without instructions.

tried it three times and all 3 times it did not keep its settings therefore did not work and had to plug in directly the block heater.

Purchased to reduce the amount of power that the block heaters use through the night. Initial set up went smoothly enough, however on the second time to reset the programming, the unit display failed and only distorted characters appeared. Disappointed.

It does the job really well, can not be better for that price, I installed attached to a 100ft extension cord controlling the lights on my back yard, working perfect even with heavy snow condition, just about to order the 2nd one for Christmas lights
