The screen just flickered. I have one from when it came out and it still works it belongs to my 3 year old. We just went to store to return and just bought the 2013.

Sorry to say I had to return the Nexus. It would not turn on. I went somewhere else to get a new tablet. Wish things had turned out better. Price was good had it worked.

We really like the pad although we ended up taking it back to Walmart and ordering it from somewhere else because they shipped us the Nexus 1 instead of the one we ordered which was the Nexus 2. I will never use Walmart.com again.

I would recommend to anyone who reads books. But I have not found a device to charge it in the car when traveling.
