This does not work. I purchased 2 about a week apart, and neither one turned on.

The lock down clamp is cheaply maid. It would bend as you tightened the screw. The red/green glob was so tightly screwed I also I almost wasn't able to get it off to put in the batteries. The item was not designed very well.

First, the spring in the base of the battery compartment was crooked and had to be reseated. Second, after installing the batteries, the light did not illuminate. I set the unit aside. Later, picked it up to move it and it was VERY hot! Apparently, there was a short somewhere. Don't know just how...

It does the job. Could have stronger plastic in the clamp.
