Justin must find the stolen treasure that has be stolen. The treasur is a part of the money being raised by Queen Eleanor of Aquitaine to ransom her son Richard the Lionhearted out of prison. the twists and turns keep you wondering right up to end.

Lots of exposition dumps via dialogue with Bennett. Bennett himself seemed to be an altogether unnecessary character, tbh. I've seen some other reviewers mention that the author's earlier mysteries were better, so I will have to try those.
