The gate is very hard to put together. I had to watch YouTube to help. once its together its a great buy. I use it for my dining room, that I turned into a play room. You don't just have to use it for stairs it works on any door way. You also have to use a drill to install the gate .

I like the sturdiness of the gate. I bought it to control my dogs access to the laundry room, and it works better than anticipated.
