I own a fence company. We use these on all our fences. The post used to be solid. Now it is hollow and bends every time the gate closes. I have to make my own posts for each latch. Bad quality decision.

old style was the best, the new style is junk .I can bend with my hand .I Have used the old style for 20 years the best .I am a fence contractor in Wilmington nc ALL-SCREWS FENCE &DECK. Please return the old style !!!!

But since they've went cheap and started making the latch mechanism out of thinner material and the striker out of thin hollow piece of pipe I will not install these anymore. It won't even function like it's suppos...

The product works well for a post mounted gate latch and the supplier delivered it very quickly. I am happy with this purchase which was a replacement after many years or wear and tear supporting a heavy iron gate for a driveway.
