Stout rod. Love the gimbal and it's cover.The butt has a rubber cover over the gimbal. Think its going to be a good stand up rod. It is a bit heavy, so I matched it a Kast King Rover 60. Just can't wait to test it on a big cat , blue or striper, maybe even a shark. Always a possibility here

Bought rod about 3 weeks ago have fished about 8X it can handle very small fish and very large fish you just cant kill it Im very rough on equipment but have used my ugly sticks ( I have 17) for 40 + years back woods beaver dams to canion tuna, car doors door ways ect

I use the 7 foot boat road for big flathead catfish has very very good backbone and stainless steel eyelets which is perfect for flats and for the price they are perfect...
