I actually got bored reading this book since I'm not interested in sports but I think boys would really enjoy this book. Its a biography about Shoeless Joe and his rise in baseball. I would have this in my classroom because I feel like a lot of boys could benefit from it.

This was a fairly good book, but a little long for a read aloud. It's a biography about Shoeless Joe Jackson who was famous for playing an entire baseball game in his socks. This book goes through a little of his life and how he got his bat whom he calls 'Black Betsy.'

A fictionalized story of Shoeless Joe Jackson's superstitions over his black baseball bat. The story wasn't great, but the images were well-done and makes for a great addition for a collection of books about baseball.
