MY 14 year old mini dachshund loves this bed. If she can't sit in my lap, this is where she would rather be!I haven't washed it yet. It hasn't matted down, still looks fluffy. I think she will enjoy it is the summer months when the air conditioning runs. It makes her quiet and secure.

It鈥檚 so soft!! My dog is old and arthritic. She immediately went to it. We put it in kitchen so she can sit with me while I cook. She wants to be with us all the time so we just move the bed where we are so she can sleep near us. We are so happy she can rest comfortably while being near us.
