We replaced a Honeywell 17000 air cleaner (motor stopped after XX years) with this unit. It is quieter and has a different (better it seems) in-out airflow design. The fan speeds are similar to the 17000s. The status light can be dimmed or turned off, which is a dramatic improvement for bedroom use.
