the thing about the radio is in need batteries as well as the cord to function which I thought was different the cord does not come with the radio you will have to go to electronic store to get the cord but overall it does work

Great little radio for $20. It uses 3" speakers so don't expect excellent bass. The speakers do sound decent and will get better after the break in period. The 9 separate shortwave bands makes tuning less tedious than radios with the shortwave divided into only 2 bands. It operates on 4 "D" batte...
