Turns out she spent those years right here in Seattle and is now an internist here (with an office right across the street from the library where I got the book!) which made the book even more...

    Why are there so many doctors who are good writers? Transue is definitely one. She tells stories about her days as a resident that are compelling and emotionally moving. Recommended.
