The detector is easy to install with instructions provided. The alarm is loud and can be heard through the house. The voice is not as loud but can be heard near the detector. The detector does not come with hardware,( wire nuts, mounting screws). Does come with 2 AA batteries.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this box of smoke detectors about two months ago and they were super easy to install. They have a tester button on them that makes you test it before you install it. They are very loud and definitely does what it is designed to do.
