The first 5 minutes of using the bells on the tip of my fishing rod I head the sweet bell ringing. I caught a nice 14" rainbow trout. I use 4 poles when trout fishing the bells work great going to buy more.

I think they work great. When the fishing is slow or you're preoccupied with other things or you simply want to doze off for a minute, these will alert you to any nibbling fish. It's a bell, does what it's suppose to do. My only gripe is that I have to order them online because the local stores do not carry them.
