This play mat is really cute. The bear design and color scheme make it work for any gender. It's easy to set up: you just form the arch that goes above baby by attaching one side to another via the velcro tabs on them. This also makes it nice and portable. This is a super cute play mat. I love that it folds up. I haven't washed it yet, so not sure how it holds up for that. Definitely enough padding for my newborn to practice side and tummy time
