It worked well, until it quit after just three months, too late for a Walmart return. The company would take it back under warranty, but required the failed unit to be mailed to them, which was cost prohibitive. I switched to Hamilton Beach as a replacement. This unit was a waste of money.

Electric Water kettles are advertised as heating water quicker than a microwave. I have used some that do heat quicker than a microwave but this was not the kettle that did it. This is my second Kalorik kettle. The first one I had was 6 years old and was damaged while moving. I don't understand how other reviewers said it is slow in heating up. Maybe they received a faulty one. My experience was the complete opposite. It does exactly what its supposed to do, it heats up...

It serves the purpose of heating the water for a correct temperature which is good for coffee or tea.
