Cuts through grass and soil ok but doesn't remove. Rocks and weeds/tree roots are problematic. A little smaller than I would like but helped get the job done with a 4-pronged weed tool.

This doesn't have a release on it. Once you have dug the hole, you have to push the dirt out with a stick or something.

I have a bad back and the long handled bulb planter keeps me from having to bend over for long periods of time.

Heavy steel,welded together. Strong handle ,tool can be twisted using both hands. The cheaper brands are just that ...cheap

This tool would be better if there was some give to allow the dirt back out once it is dug up, I spent a lot of time clearing the chute after each bulb was planted
