I expected dry. It should be, it's old fashioned and that was the only part about it that I liked. Honestly this is the worst beef jerky I've ever had. The flavor wasn't just zero sugar but it was also just bad. My husband couldn't even eat it, and he LOVES dry old fashioned beef jerky.

I received a beef jerky with no real flavor. Wanted the peppered beef jerky but received the zero sugar beef jerky. How is sugar free even close to being a substitution for peppered beef jerky? That was the worst substitution possible. The only thing correct with the substitution was the Old Trap...
