the reels work great. I read all about the reel I bought twice, the reel did every thing it said it would. I just wish I could catch the fish that is good as the reel. thank you walt.

I purchased the Pursuit II 30. I put PLine 15lb braid on it and paired it to a med/light 7' diawa steez rod. I use it for bass and so far so good. For the money it is a great reel.

Great reel for the money my suggestion is to swap out the felt drag washers for the HT-100 carbon drag washers when you purchase the reel. Other than that the reel is very smooth.

I've been using Penn Pursuits (3000/4000) for several years now on my charter boat. They switch hands daily. With all the bumps, drops and everyday use, they are still working properly. Had this about 1 year now caught a bunch of dog fish and salmon one of my favorite reel, and extra smooth only reel that lasted and still going strong after continuous battles in the salt and rivers
