I've used the hp XL before and it really does last a lot longer than the regular size ink cartridge. I went through the original ink cartridge in one week but this cartridge has barely used up ink and it's been 2 weeks already.

All the HP ink cartridge products I've used are excellent. My only complaint is that they cost too much.
