Works as described. Helps create a layer over seed to keep moisture in. It doesn't work very well trying to use out of a spreader. They are just a little to big for it. I would grab handfuls and toss them all over the seeded area. I'd say it would probably even work well to place on soil before...

l have used this product before and it saves water as the pellets hold the water very good plus it fertilize the grass.

I used this 45 days ago. My grass is ready for the winter. I feel like I under-bought because I didn't have full 1/4 coverage, but my soil stayed moist and the grass grew. I recommend this product.
