I bought this to pick up pins from wet media as well as the strays that tend to bounce out when cleaning the cases after tumbling. It works very well. It's not water-tight, so I wouldn't suggest submerging it. If submerged, I'd expect the internals to rust over time, but I don't see a good reason...
