Upon inspection of the metal ring, I discovered that the double-sided tape, that they use to affix the metal ring to the case, was not completely set in place when it was assembled...

I've had this setup for a couple months now and love it. The magnet is strong and I've never had any issues with the pad falling out. Also, I have very large hands and can use the keyboard without issues. I just ordered one for one of my construction Super. to use in the field.
