The only thing I can come up with for the progresso soup lovers is that they must not have tried Campbells. I love clam chowder. I decided on a whim to try Progresso. It is not nearly as good as Campbells. The flavor is lacking. I'm not sure how they stay in business to be honest.

Needs more clam less potato. I dont want to fill up on potatoes, i wish it was more half and half.

Okay, this isn't restaurant grade stuff, but it is good and filling. Not much different from Campbells, really. Neither brand has enough clams, so I add half a can of them, including the juice. Sprinkle in some crushed red peppers, and you're ready to go.

I've been a fan for many years. It's good plain, or a good base to add tuna, salmon, or veggies. I've been known to eat it cold, out of the can. and have discovered several friends do the same! So glad it is (and always has been) gluten-free.
