We used this product as a craft for the elderly. It helped with their motor skills and they were able to decorate it however they wanted to make it their own.

This project allows the participant to use their imagination and produce a showpiece. I strongly suggest you put the house together first and then paint. If you paint the pieces first they will swell and fitting the pieces together becomes a NIGHTMARE.

We painted these and gave them as Mother's Day presents in my classroom. The kids (with varying artistic ability) all did a wonderful job. That's the great thing about these birdhouses. It doesn't really require that you know how to paint well. No matter how they're painted, they are beautiful...

We used the birdhouse kits as a several-week project for the men's group at our nursing home. The men really enjoyed assembling and painting the birdhouses, some even made 2 or 3 of them!
