This is a universal coffee maker. It works as advertised and I have found no problems with it. The only compromise I see is that if you are using K-cups, you have to put in water each time you make a cup. The alternative is keeping two coffee makers. I don't have counter space for that.

My husband who turned his nose up, now, after only one week loves making his individual cup of coffee. It is easy to use; no mess. We use a 1 cup glass measuring cup which is perfect instead of individual cups. Haven't used the carafe yet but we are happy with this product.
