Assembled it weighs around 220 pounds. I considered putting casters on the unit but that would void the warrenty. The pull-out table can be removed to lighten the armoire when moving it so that helps a little... Only negative is the thinness of the small moveable shelves limiting them to 3 pounds...

Directions were good, easy to follow. I had no problem putting it together myself. It did take about 7 hours but I did not rush and that included all the unpacking, gathering of the tools and separating all the items into their proper piles as well as labeling them am placing them in baggies. Hardware was very high quality. Set up was time-consuming but relatively easy. Had trouble aligning the doors, but the beauty of the rest of it made up for that. I would buy it again and again.
