Definitely can get your roots straight. Works for naturally curly hair. I didn't need to use a flat iron.

Love it. The handle is a bit big and takes some getting use to but it blow dries really nice. I have thin hair and it adds a bit of volume but not sure if it would be great for long thick hair.

This is a good product for someone with long hair. I have short hair and if I knew how big it is I wouldn't have ordered it. The handle is too big for my small hands. Not knocking the product, it's just not for me. Will be taking back to Walmart for refund.

It's a nice smaller size barrel, which works great for medium short hair. The barrel does get hot, but there is a lower heat setting if it's too hot for you. I've cut my drying/styling time in half using this. Very nice hair tool for the price.
