I bought this for my room since we don't have air conditioning and it's super chill. I had an older, more expensive unit that was a little beat. This one works great. My roommate and I are impressed. I keep it up at 72 because it cools the room so well. I have a 10 x 12 room.

Remote comes with batteries. Timer mode works as advertised. Consumes about 400 watts when the compressor is on.

I am definitely not disappointed in this purchase. It works well - cools a large room rather efficiently. Not too loud. Plus I love that it has a remote control and many different functions.
