I read about these fixtures prior to purchase that they were essentially "Plug N Play". Nope. Installed them into my fixture and within 5 minutes I heard buzzing and smoke coming from the fixture ballast. So, in addition to wasting my time, I'm now out a newish fluorescent fixture.

I am not sure why the low rating, these bulbs are just as bright if not brighter than the standard bulbs I replaced with them. I tried these bulbs with one of the cheap-o T8 shop lights, and it killed the ballast within 5 minutes. I paired it with an instant start T8 ballast made by Robertson. If you need to find a new ballast, look for an e-ballast or electronic ballast, not a magnetic ballast. Now that it's working i...
