I just received this in the mail and I'm very please. It has a wooden “body” and a plastic like top to expand the gate. It came with a package of eye hooks to secure to the wall. It has a very elegant “Farm house” feel to it. We have two wide openings in our living room (48in & 54in) it will work...

The gate is a really pretty color combination, the black plastic top with the dark brown wood railing. I used it on the bottom of my stairs because I was having a hard time finding a gate that was wide enough and also provided some flexibility to use in that area.
