Great series. Can't wait til my son is a little older so he can read them himself. Good message - friendship, loyalty, hard work - without being at all preachy. Great mix of action & description. Love the development of the characters' personalities over the course of the series.

If you like stories like Lord of the Rings & such then you will like this book. The 1st night that I had it I got so into it that I had read 12 chapters without knowing. It is directed for teens, but as an adult with 5 kids I am enjoying this book greatly.
