My 6 year old loves this. I bought her the big tub of crayons with the purchase knowing my 3 year old would end up breaking a few. With this, it's now not an issue. They love making new art with it and it's simple enough that my youngest can use it as well.

This works. You just have to let the crayons melt. Don't rush the instrument and remember to insert pieces of crayon as you use it or you'll have to wait again for the instrument to melt it. It will skip if you don't follow this advice. Try using construction paper, its better than regular white ...
