My son got this as a gift on his 3rd birthday. He loved it. It is a great way to introduce a classical toy at an earlier age using the bigger size block peices. After showing him how to make plane, car, house etc that ignited his imagniation to make things on his own.

My daughter wanted more blocks for Christmas so instead of buying more mega blocks I bought what I grew up with, Legos. The only thing I would have changed about this purchase was ordering more than one set or buying a set with a more blocks. She loves them.

Legos are more expensive than the generics or "off brands", but they are known quality and more importantly one can always buy compatible sets from a wide variety of merchants. Highly recommended. The grandkids love them. I just wish there was a 10,000 piece set ;-)
