I once swore off Cowboy charcoal but wanted to give them another chance, glad I did. I mixed the lump with another brand's briquettes and was very pleased with the results. I will review again using just the Southern style lump

I tried the Southern Style Lump Charcoal on my MiniMax Big Green Egg and it did not disappoint! The coals lit easily and came up to temp fast. I did not use any other wood chips as I wanted to test its own smokey flavor. The oak and hickory combo of this lump coal left a nice and not bitter taste...

This was probably the best Cowboy Hardwood Charcoal yet. This charcoal catches fire easily and burns hot and long , I soaked a little Cowboy hickory chunks for some extra smoke .
