This morter and pestle is ni ely sized, heavy enough to not move while mixing ir grinding, easy to clean and the actual pestle is a great design. I use mine most frequently to crush freshly dried herbs, but you can also use it for a variety of dishes, such as guacamole. Good recipes are suggested.

this is a very good buy. the grind is very good and am able to have a good grip for the grind. overall a very good product.

I like the bigger size of this Molcajete. The Pestle is big enough to really grind down on the harder foods such as garlic. It is a very heavy well made Molcajete.

It's very good pestle because it is made with granite. Highly highly durable, because granite is found under 10000 foot from ground. I am using every day to crush ginger, garlic, black pepper, cloves etc. This is made of stone , so no question for rust and other reactions for the food items.

It's very solid and well made. I bought this mainly for grinding up dried herbs and spices, but it also works well smashing up hot peppers and garilic.
