Always look forward to Luck's Black-eyed Peas (with a little tomato relish to give the peas some "zing") with turnip greens, mashed potatoes, and corn bread for New Year's Day lunch or dinner. While the superstition is that the peas & greens bring luck, I feel lucky to eat such a meal.

Remembering childhood, when you ate what mama fed you. Remember blackeye peas, rice, cornbread and a nice cold glass of Kool-Aid, those days are gone, eating a can of Luck Blackeye Peas bring it all back. Those was the good old days.
