I am a Vocabulary Builder advocate for children and adults. I purchased this item to enhance my own vocabulary and to use it as an English and Reading Tutor to improve the vocabulary of my high school students.

I bought a game for 2 of my grandchildren: one is a HS junior about to take the SAT and the other is a13 y/o homeschooled cousin. I got phone calls the day after Christmas from each of them. They loved it! The high schooler thinks it is the most fun learning vocabulary "EVER!"

I bought it for my smart 11 year old granddaughter who reads everything she can get her hands on. On a phone call her Dad said he had to go to play a game with her. He said she loves Wordsmithery and that was what they were going to play

It's nice that they provide a child version for younger players. The adult version is fun and challenging. It's sometimes difficult to define some words out of context, which makes it fun and challenging! Definitely can build one's vocabulary and a good game for the linguistically inclines.
