This unit does not read temperature anymore. I changed out the batteries in both devises. The base devise will activate as indicated by the red LCD. However, no temperature is being displayed by the handheld unit. Current Temperature _ _ _ _ F.

save your money and buy something that will last. mine lasted about 4 cooks then started reading 50 degrees low and now it wont even read ambient temp.

I bought this product for Thanksgiving, took it out of its package and it let me down right from the start. It fail to work correctly, but i called customer service and they are sending me a new thermometer and I hope to be able to give that one a great review.

I have used this for over a year now. First time i used it about one hour into cooking it turned off. Turned it back on. Every thing was still set on it. Never has done it again. Very easy to use. Takes the guess work out of cooking. A must have for electric smoker. Set it and forget it. Enjoy it...
