So easy to setup and use with the touch screen much easier Then the other unit. I gave my brother the Bird unit. Love the HDS7 if you don't have one go to your fishing store and test it I bet you buy it

I currently have an HDS 5 gen 1 and bought the HDS 7 gen 3 to complement it. The HDS 7 gen 3 is 100% better than the gen 1 unit in both clarity and update speed. I do all my fishing offshore and this unit works great. My next purchase will be the Structure Scan HD Transducer.

I upgraded from a gen 2 to the gen 3, 7". I use it with the Motor guide Xi5. it is so nice to set up a rout and let it go. I just with the "S" turn feature was easer to aim e.g. plot a way point and have it "S" turn to the waypoint.
