    I purchased this rod for redfish, trout, and bluefish - a general all-around saltwater rod. This rod handled a fight with a 48 inch red drum without a problem. Great price for a solid rod that won't break the bank.

    I use these rods on my Montauk charter boat for bottom fish such as Summer flounder aka fluke, porgies, sea bass and blackfish. These rods are good for sinker weights 3-10 ounces, are very light, but also very strong. Highly recommended.
