Exceeds my expectations for safety. However, the same thing that makes me feel so safe also, seems inconvenient (must be 3 feet from all surfaces even the wall, which I find somewhat inconvenient). Better safe than sorry.

I bought this fireplace heater a few years back, great unit when it comes to taking the chill out of the air on an early fall morning or late spring when it is too warm to run the furnace but need just a little heat produced. Should not run for long extended periods of time, does produce a hazar...
