The 3 holes are fixed in place. It is ready to use right out the plastic box. The box also makes it great for storing, not only can you recognize it easily but it's compact.

This 3 hole paper punch works great. My daughter needed it to make q music binder for marching band and it was a great product at a good price. I highly recommend this product.

I recently purchased this hole punch and have found it to be a very basic model. Its sole purpose is to punch holes in paper; it lacks the ability to adjust the number of sheets it can punch at once, and the positioning of the holes is fixed. Overall, it does it's job.
