I was looking for a feeder to discourage bad birds and this did work. However it also discouraged the cardinals. I am still trying different adjustments hoping to find the magic spring position. It is a well made feeder and my backyard birds say thanks.

I have not yet put out this bird feeder because I have a vegetable garden in the area and the tomatoes are beginning to ripen. I do not want the birds picking on my tomatoes...so I will wait until the toms are harvested to once again but out feeders for the birds....

This bird feeder really is squirrel proof. The smaller birds love it and it's easy to fill.

We had an old feeder that became to expensive to get replacement parts for. Squirrel-Resistant seemed the answer. Unfortunately, our birds don't seem to like the new feeder. We changed back to the old one, nope, we are being ignored. Haven't given up completely, hanging it in a different loca...

It took a few days for the bird to get around to eating out of it. I did not realize for a couple of days that the perches pull out to allow the birds the sit facing the ports. I pulled some out further than others for both Grosbeaks and the smaller finches. I wish there were a smaller size, even...
