I thought I'd get this for my woodcarving hobby. It performs very well. It is an economical start compared to some of the similar $500+ machines that do the same thing. I'm glad I bought this Wen product. There are several attachments available for it also

I sharpened my lathe chisels. Excellent. I did purchase the tormek svs 38 for my round chisels rather than free hand. If you use a high speed grinder you are doing your chisels an injustice. Keeping them cool makes a huge difference.
