This set includes 10 trains and 4 tender cars. The trains are half die cast and half plastic (which I like because they're not as heavy). Lots of pieces with realistic Thomas characters. Parts of the toys are diecast and part are plastic. The pieces can anchor together to build a whole line. Cars run smoothly. Great fun for Thomas fans!
