i love this freezer. i only had the refrigerator freezer before this one has 4 shelves so now when things are on sale, i can take advantage of them. The shelves are about 8 or 9 inches apart. Perfect for one person in an apartment.

Perfect - and bigger inside than appears! I had a Kenmore stand up freezer that lasted 12 years and recently died. I never liked that it made a loud click every 10 minutes or so. This Avanti makes a click too, but so quietly I can only hear it if standing right next to it. That is a big advantage...
