Both the base and the outside wireless unit were defective. Called First alert and they said to return it to place of purchase. I'll try another brand next time. Not much customer support here.

This little weather station works great, the charger comes with the unit. The alarm rings softly, but I would still purchase and recommend it. Great buy for the price, love the ceiling display
