I bought the striper special this year it is a great reel for stripers and any fishing very smooth casting I have other Abu Garcia Reels that I have for 10 years and that I used for striper fishing in the cape cod canal and buzzard bay area I highley recomend this reel

Just picked up the striper version at bass pro to use as a fluke reel because I love the thumb actuater, turns out me and my son ran into the stripers on our fluke trip and we put a 38# fish in the boat this reel really impressed me and will definitely be adding more of them to my arsenal
